The Revolution will be mimeographed: Fuck You: A Magazine of the Arts

In 1962, Fug-Man Ed Sanders founded Fuck You: A Magazine of the Arts. With his credo: "I'll print anything," Sanders produced thirteen mimeographed issues of the legendary journal- publishing work by Tuli Kupferberg, Charles Olson, Philip Whalen, Allen Ginsberg, Frank O'Hara, Julian Beck, Herbert Huncke, Gary Snyder, Diane DiPrima, William Burroughs, Leroi Jones (AKA Amiri Baraka), Robert Creeley, Ted Berrigan, Joe Brainard, and Andy Warhol.
Police eventually raided the Fug/ Fuck You HQ:
Peace Eye Bookstore, charging Sanders with obscenity. Notoriety generated by the case led to his face on the cover of Life Magazine (February 17, 1967), which proclaimed Sanders "a leader of New York's Other Culture."
